About Nickey Winders

Nickey Winders was born in Germany.  Her family was in the military and she spent most of her childhood traveling.  Nickey became a well known model in New York and Europe.  In Paris, London and Italy she appeared regularly on magazine covers and billboards.  She worked for clients such as Cosmopolitan, Glamour Magazine, Clairol, Marshall Fields and Bloomingdales.  She appeared on billboards for Mary Kay.  She was featured weekly in the New York Times in one page adds for Henri Bendel.  She was the principal actress in Loreal commercials and the Eddie Bauer signature girl for eight years.  In New York, she was one of four models chosen to be in the award winning PBS documentary called Model

Nickey found not only did she love being in front of the camera, she loved being behind it.  Her passion became photography and she was a Stylist for some of the top fashion photographers in the world for years.

Nickey wanted to give this unique experience, that usually only models have, to anyone.  She found her years as a working model gave her an ability to teach anyone how to create a powerful image, rather than just pose and have their picture taken.

Nickey began photographing and teaching her subjects how to create that image.  She wants to provide people who are not models and have never been photographed with the type of photographs that are typically only seen in Advertising and Editorials.  It was the first time for the majority of subjects on Nickey's site to be photographed.

Nickey is currently the official photographer for all of the fashion classes for Kim Dawson Studios in Dallas, Texas.  She teaches acting and modeling with Page Parkes Talent, one of the top model/talent agencies in America.  She has the reputation of being an extraordinary coach with the ability to direct new talent in front of the camera.  She has a gift for teaching her subjects to be in the moment and access their confidence.
